Finishing the Series, Properly

I’m back on track writing the final novella for Book 3.5 in Falaha’s series. My experiments with genres were both successful and a failure, yet they turned out to be even more fruitful that I had anticipated when I first set out to write something other than my usual space opera/hard SF stuff.

My quest to write erotica threw me into erotic romance zone and then into something else entirely: too complex to have it as light and steamy bedtime read, overall. A proper story that was fitting well into the main series, just with some really hot and graphic scenes that were there as a necessity; a deeper journey into Falaha’s sensual side. Main characters have grown and everyone had sides to them I absolutely wanted to explore! I’m not sure if I should be surprised at this, after all, there were things left that needed telling too, and they had found their way into these additional episodes.

So for now I’m crawling at a pace of 300-500 words per day for The Man in a Box (Falaha’s Journey Into Pleasure #3), wondering and torturing myself whether I will be able to surpass the awesomeness of the second story, and if I’d manage to complete the draft by the end of December — this year!

I’m also working on the cover for the complete Book 3.5 (which would be ~45k words, adding to 136k of the main story) and I want to try playing cover reveal game too. Pretty fun month ahead, if you’d ask me!

Then, with those stories out of my way I’d be getting down to writing another novel in the OS UniverseRjg: the huge thing I had set out to write before I accidentally wrote Falaha. (A pretty badass accident it was, tho.)

Challenge accepted! (Translation: I’ve been saying this so many times already and I’m still scared to write that huge novel.)
