It Just Keeps Growing

For the past week I’ve enjoyed a wide-eyed ride into writing adventure, even though the end of the year 2014 and the beginning of 2015 were shitty as shitty could be. There, I said it.

First, one of our dogs was hit by a car. He was lucky to survive in full set, but we still had a lot of stress since December 29th.

This guy, a riesenschnauzer (giant schnauzer), named Perseus (Demari Veris Persey Perfect).
This guy, a riesenschnauzer (giant schnauzer), named Perseus (Demari Veris Persey Perfect).

He was hit directly by a moving vehicle, thrown over it, but somehow managed to avoid the sad fate. He’s pretty badass, if you ask me. All he got was a limp rear leg, now perfectly fine. I’m not sure about that car, however…

Second, my mom has heart issues.

I’m permanently in a state when I want to throw my phone out of the window before someone calls me with some bad news, to discuss recent events and fuel the fear, or just to make me feel guilty or useless. Relatives, don’t you love them.

It is so suffocating that my mind wanders into weird places, thinking stuff like, “Fun sexy stories? I shouldn’t be writing this shit. I should be something I am not/cannot be.”

*Shows finger. Two fingers.*

Third, I’m a mess. My story is a mess. A beautiful mess, but a mess nonetheless.

There’s something about those stories that are supposed to be the end of a series. Oh it will be the end. I wrote the ending, oh I did!

I also sorted out the chapters — yes, that small story has chapters, 24 of them (ranging from 300 to 7000 words in length). It also told from the POVs of 3 people. (Ok, those are 3 stories braided into one, with additional fancy feats. Don’t ask me, it just happened.)

It started out as 20k goal, then expanded to 22, then to 30, now 35!
I just keeps getting bigger and bigger (and hotter, in places… Phew!)
Ok, I’ll keep it under 40K, I’m sure about it. It wasn’t supposed to be so huge.

The good news? I made new covers for my sexy stories. I shall make a cover for my full collection once I have a spare $33 (plus fucking tax!) to buy a photo for the cover image. 🙂

Feast your eyes upon this new creation.

  1. So sorry to hear about your dog getting hit. We had a black shepherd killed by a car once. It was awful.
Also sorry to hear about your mom. Hope she gets better. And fuck the relatives. Some people deal with stress by chewing on the nerves of others. They’re not your responsibility.

I like the covers! I generally love simple, effective covers. 🙂

    1. Oops! Somehow your comment ended up in the Spam Dept. Stupid plugins.

Dogs and cars don’t fit together unless dogs are driving. LOL

Mom’s better, but once you get older, the shit’s unpredictable. I was able to climb out of the guilt pit, so I’m back on track, working.

The covers, eh. I still want a pretty picture. 😀
